HTC finally came out with what it had dubbed as “an unexpected surprise” in the teaser it released last week. Apparently, it referred to the launch of HTC U Ultra, which was rolled out yesterday. As per rumours from a few other sources, HTC 11 was supposed to be the spring surprise that the company referred to but the cat is definitely out of the bag now.
The device is the one belonging to the premium segment of the smartphones offered by the Taiwanese manufacturer. This would be the flagship product by HTC until the HTC 11 comes out. Even though the dates for the launch of the HTC 11 have not yet been made official, it is expected to make a debut sometime by the end of 2017.
HTC U Ultra, indeed a “pretty” phone so to say, but when it comes to the specifications and the capabilities of the device, the customers and potential buyers seem to be wanting a bit more from the flagship. The HTC U Ultra is a limited edition by the company and comes with a brilliant Sapphire colour body. The device would also house a massive 128 GB internal storage support which has been ramped up as compared with the previous editions that had been launched by the company a few months ago. The portal to pre-order the smartphone is now live for customers from Taiwan. The 64 GB variant of this phone would be available in the India markets at the price of Rs 59990, and the customers can choose any of the four colours- Black, ice white, pink and blue. HTC U Ultra comes with Android nougat 7.0 pre-installed and runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 chipset coupled with a 4GB RAM. The 5.7-inch display on the smartphone is surely a thing of beauty with QHD capability. Other specifications of the phone include features like support VoLTE, NFC, dev iceMiracast and a 3000 mAH battery to support the heavy duty nature device.
